I've had this vintage wicker tray for awhile - atleast a year - and I love it, even tho I don't really use it for anything than sitting in the corner and looking pretty.
But - recently I've been thinking about painting on it. Not sure if that means one big image or just painting the whole thing, say turquoise, but something. I'm not a great (or even good) painter but I enjoy the process.
So, any ideas?

So sad to paint such pretty wicker! But change is fun.
What about painting it turquoise and then sanding parts down so the wicker shows through. The distressed look
